1973 H2A Candy Gold

Bike details

This is a 1973 H2A in Candy Gold, with 3776 miles on the clock. The frame number is H2F30071 and the engine number is H2E30300.

It was featured in a Model photo shoot but was fitted with Purple bodywork on that occasion

Originality

This bike is 100% standard. I would rate the bike's condition as 9.9 out of 10

Brief history

This bike was purchased as part of Larry Stones Inventory back in 2001,  in 1974 the bike was stolen and cylinders, pipes, bodywork and seat were removed. The insurance company paid to have all these parts replaced but the bike was never collected.  I rode this bike for 200 miles at Deals gap in 2004 and the bike has not been ridden since.

The main photo is one often copied and bandied about the Internet, you may well have seen it before - it is my photo of the bike being sold.

I have quite literally just put fuel in the bikes for the first time in 14 Years and it fired up 4th kick with NO dripping carbs, No stuck clutch Etc & I just rode it around the block. I seriously doubt that there is a nicer, ORIGINAL, Unrestored One on the planet

What would it cost to buy?

1973 H2As in good condition are currently selling for between $8,000 and $16,000. Because of the condition of this one, I realisticallly expect it to sell for $20,000+

Collecting the bike

Please note that as it is part of the RBs collection, the bike can be picked up from north Michigan following the Birthday Bash event in mid-August. This is a marvellous opportunity to experience the great biking roads in northern Michigan.
